Beauty Products In Your Kitchen

Need a natural moisturizer? Cucumbers are good for moisturizing of the skin. Cucumbers contain compounds known to tighten pores and reduce inflamation. Puree one tbsp of each cucumber and parsley, blend in 1 tbsp of plain yogurt and create a mask around your face and leave in for 15-20 min. Rinse with luke warm water.

Oatmeal is a great exfoliant and moisturizer. Oats are good for wind worn skin and itchy skin. Finely ground oatmeal draws impurities from the skin, stimulates circulation and encourages new cell growth. Make an oats mask, mix with 2 tbsp  of aloe vera, 2 tbsp of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Gently massage onto damp skin, rinse with warm water.

Peaches are a great exfoliant! Peaches get rid of dead cells and a great source of vitamin A and C to nourish new cells. Peach juice helps unblock pores and prevent from blemishes and may even lighten age spots and minimize wrinkles. Slice up a piece of peach and massage its flesh on to your skin. Leave juice on for 20 minutes and rinse.

Hair Bow Tutorial

You’ve seen Lady Gaga do it! And you know you thought it was cute. But maybe you didn’t want to go as BIG as Gaga did. So here’s a small tutorial I found on Pinterest for a cute small hair bow. For those days that you just can’t figure out what to do with your hair. It’s pretty simple and easy to do.

Step 1: Pull about 1.5″ of hair from both sides.

Step 2: Pull sections back and cross them.

Step 3: Tie together and make a bow (like tying a shoe) and pull tighter.

Step 4: Secure with bobby pins.

And viola! You have yourself a cute little bow.

Dr. Oz: “Peanut Butter & Chocolate–This tasty duo will satisfy even the most voracious sweet tooth. Melt a bar of dark chocolate and mix it into a jar of organic peanut butter. Leave it in the fridge so that it cools and the flavors blend. When a sugar craving strikes, have a spoon. One spoonful has 4.5 grams of sugar. Compare this to your average brownie with a whopping 30 grams of sugar, & you’re well on your way to shaking your sugar habit in healthy ways you never thought possible!”
